Single Crusted Apple Pie

1 1/2 cups + 3 Tbsp flour

1 1/2 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup vegetable oil

3 Tbsp. cold milk

For an 8-9″ crust: mix flour, sugar, and salt together in a bowl. In a measuring cup, mix milk and oil; whip with a fork until creamy. Pour over mixture and mix until moistened. Pat the dough into a pie plate and flute the edges.

Apples, sliced
3/4 cup flour
4 Tbsp. softened butter
1 cup sugar
Fill unbaked crust with apples mounded quite high. I suggest Granny Smith, Haralson, or Cortland. In a bowl mix flour, sugar, and butter. Use a pastry blender to mix into a coarse mixture. Sprinkle over the top of the apples. Bake at 350° for about one hour or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Cool and serve with ice cream. Delicious!
