French Apple Pie
5 cups sliced apples
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 deep shell pie crust
Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon. Fill shell with apple mixture. Dot with butter if desired.
For Topping:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1 cup flour
Mix topping until crumbly and spread on top of apples.
Bake in 375 degree oven for 50 minutes.
