Single Crusted Apple Pie |
|
1 1/2 cups + 3 Tbsp flour |
1 1/2 tsp sugar |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
3 Tbsp. cold milk |
|
For an 8-9″ crust: mix flour, sugar, and salt together in a bowl. In a measuring cup, mix milk and oil; whip with a fork until creamy. Pour over mixture and mix until moistened. Pat the dough into a pie plate and flute the edges. |
|
Apples, sliced
|
3/4 cup flour |
4 Tbsp. softened butter
|
1 cup sugar |
Fill unbaked crust with apples mounded quite high. I suggest Granny Smith, Haralson, or Cortland. In a bowl mix flour, sugar, and butter. Use a pastry blender to mix into a coarse mixture. Sprinkle over the top of the apples. Bake at 350° for about one hour or until lightly browned and bubbly. Cool and serve with ice cream. Delicious! |
