Steamed Christmas Pudding |

2 cups cranberries, cut in half |
1/2 cup molasses |
1-1/2 cups flour |
2 tsp. baking soda in 1/2 cup hot water |
Stir ingredients until blended. Pour into a greased, covered mold. Steam in large kettle with several inches of water over low heat until brown, about 1 hour. Serve with butter sauce: |

1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup cream |
1 tsp. vanilla |
Combine sugar, butter, cream in double boiler and heat over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla. Serve warm. |
