Putting Plants Away

From this…

to this…

… in a week and a half.

Here we are at the end of another growing season. We were blessed with some very mild weather this fall. So mild, in fact, that we had to take a break between packing and covering the plants. It was nice to have sweatshirt weather to work in most of the time rather than winter coat weather. There is a first time for everything!

I watered for the last time and while I was in the Heuchera house, I was struck with how beautiful they are. So I took a few pictures of my favorite varieties.

Heuchera Bella Notte

Heuchera Cherry Cola

Heuchera Fire Alarm

It is SUCH a unique color.

Heuchera Spellbound

Look at how big those leaves are!

And check out the fall color on this Heucherella.

Off to bed with you now…see you in the Spring!
