What is your role at Sargent's?
“As the Sales and Design Assistant, I assist the sales team with measuring sites for landscape plans, creating 3D models of landscape plans, arranging appointments with clients, ordering plant materials for projects, marking sites for utility locates, answering phones, and more.”
What inspired you to pursue a career involving landscape design?
“I grew up in a family that was always in the garden and many of my family members are in the landscaping field.”
What is your favorite part of your job?
“I enjoy creating 3D models of landscape designs. Learning this was very fun and challenging! I also enjoy the variety of different job duties that each season brings.”
Do you have a garden or outdoor space at home, and what’s it like?
“I have a large garden at home where I grow a variety of vegetables. My favorite thing that I grew for the first time last year was tomatillos.”
Outside of your role at Sargent’s, what hobbies or pastimes keep you busy?
“I enjoy bird watching, gardening, and going to concerts.”
What’s something unique about you that few people know?
“I love going to antique stores and I specifically collect vintage Muppet memorabilia.”
